I can’t pinpoint the exact time I started listening to National Public Radio (NPR). That’s how long it’s been a part of my news diet.

If you’re not a familiar with it, NPR is the American public broadcasting organization. Its headquarters are in Washington, DC, and it syndicates programming to more than 1,000 public radio stations in the US. My local NPR station is WUNC, which is broadcast from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill campus (Go Heels!).

Usually, I listen to NPR when I’m driving. And you know that it’s a compelling piece when you keep listening to it, even after you’ve pulled the car into the driveway.

My husband and I listened to NPR before we had kids. And now, our son and daughter listen to it, too, to learn about the most important, sad, funny, and incredible news stories of the day.

But it’s not just my family. NPR is also an important news source for so many of our US-based colleagues and clients.

And as many of you already know, NPR has always relied on listeners’ financial support. That’s why we’re proud to be NPR supporters. The communication- and education-focused missions of both organizations are a natural pairing.
