UK fellowship honors people who have made significant contributions to the practice or science of medicine
PRINCETON, NJ.— 2021年1月28日 – Certara, Inc., the global leader in biosimulation, today announced that Craig Rayner, Pharm.D., MBA, has been inducted as a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh in Scotland.
Dr. Rayner is currently the president of integrated drug development at Certara. In this role, Rayner supports a global team of clinical and quantitative pharmacologists, pharmacometricans, regulatory strategy and drug development scientists who create value for clients across the drug development ecosystem and ultimately accelerate patient access to medicines.
According to the rules of the Royal College, “Fellowship in the Royal College is an honorific reserved for persons of exceptional distinction who have made major and significant contributions to the practice or science of medicine, and is only conferred following submission of appropriate nomination materials by existing fellows, followed by review and a full vote of the appropriate committees and the council.”
Rayner holds an Adjunct Associate Professorship in Pharmaceutical Science (Monash University), is a Distinguished Alumni of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (Monash University), and has broadly published in clinical pharmacology and also infectious diseases. He is now entitled to use the post nominals “FRCP Edin” after his name.
The Royal College promotes the education and training of physicians and medical scientists. It is one of the three organizations that sets the specialty training standards for physicians in the United Kingdom. The Royal College organizes events, courses, training and research throughout the UK and the world and includes 12,000 members in 91 countries worldwide, of whom only a fraction are named fellows.
