The role involves contributing to and leading consultancy projects with clients in the Pharmaceutical Industry to develop PBPK models for particular projects of interest.

– Apply PBPK models in support of a number of applications including but not limited to the following:

• DDI liability prediction;
• Food effect prediction
• PK prediction in special populations
• Biopharmaceutics/bioequivalence prediction
• Large molecule PK prediction.

– You will lead consultancy projects (model development, verification and application) and contribute to consultancy projects with minimal supervision.

– You will need to keep abreast of the latest scientific development in the area of PBPK and IVIVE to enable effective communication with colleagues, clients and the wider scientific community.

– You will engage with potential and existing clients on a regular basis.

– You will be expected to put together modelling and simulation plans for new projects.

– You will have external visibility in the scientific community by publishing your work or presenting at scientific meetings.

The VP, Head of QSP Consultancy will play a pivotal part in the growth and continuous improvement of Certara’s QSP group to achieve its strategic and business objectives, through a continued focus on achieving optimal impact in all client engagements. As a member of the QSP leadership team, you will help drive critical efforts in areas including targeted recruitment of new talent, optimizing resource allocation to QSP consultancy projects, business development, and strengthening consultant skills across the team. You will be working closely with the SVP, Head of QSP, and VP, Head of QSP Platforms to develop and implement strategies for optimization of the business processes across the team, interfacing with the Commercial & Operations teams within the Simcyp division, and promoting an environment of collaboration across QSP, Simcyp and other Certara business units. You will supervise and mentor colleagues in the QSP Consultancy team, either directly or through work product review, contribute to QSP consultancy business development efforts and lead projects for key clients.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for project delivery of quality QSP solutions on time.
• Provide hands-on technical support for model building when required.
• Work with clients to ensure they receive the expected added value.
• Work with the consortium/ consulting teams to ensure optimal deployment of resources.
• Work with Certara QSP line management to deliver optimum solutions.
• Provide general expert technical input across Certara QSP portfolio.
• Mentor other Certara QSP staff.
