Colin Callaghan, MBA

Colin is a Senior Director, R&D Project Lead, in Certara’s Integrated Drug Development division. In this role, he works with clients’ pharmaceutical development teams to identify and deliver successful strategies and tactics to bring medicinal products to market. Colin’s professional background includes extensive cross-functional team leadership and project management experience with non-clinical, clinical, CMC and regulatory programs (25+ filings including NDAs). Colin’s experience spans the R&D continuum from discovery through registration and commercial portfolio management. He has worked for a variety of pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies over his 30-year career, encompassing large, global enterprises and private start-ups across 8 therapeutic areas.

Colin is an experienced change manager and consultant. He started his career as a bench scientist developing liquid formulations for oral and parenteral delivery. Previously, Colin was Head of Development for Maxwell Biosciences. Prior to that, Colin filled roles of increasing responsibility at Pfizer, Wyeth-Ayerst, Alcami, Celldex and Iterum Therapeutics. He earned his bachelor degree in pharmacy from Rutgers University and an MBA from the University of North Carolina, Cameron School of Business.
